Mike is the managing partner of our firm and has approximately 30 years experience serving the investment management industry. Since joining BBD’s Investment Management Group in 2003, Mike has been instrumental in the group’s significant growth.

Currently, Mike serves as the engagement partner for many of the firm’s registered and unregistered investment company clients. Mike’s approach as lead audit partner is “hands-on.” He is an active participant in a fund’s audit and facilitates consistent communication between the client, their service providers and audit staff. He also has developed good working relationships with many of the mutual fund industry’s attorneys and providers of accounting, custody and transfer agent services.

Over the years, Mike has assisted many clients on such diverse issues as fund mergers, excess expense reimbursement plans, after-tax total return, excise tax distributions, passive foreign investment companies and numerous financial reporting issues as dictated by ever changing requirements and regulations.

Mike has developed and presented both internal and external training seminars and workshops on accounting and tax issues affecting the mutual fund industry.
