Charlie is a partner in our firm. He has been providing a broad range of accounting, tax and advisory services to both public and privately held middle-market business enterprises, including the employee benefit plans of these organizations, for more than 20 years.
Charlie has extensive experience in accounting, auditing, tax and business advisory services for middle-market businesses and their stockholders. He concentrates on providing these services to manufacturers and distributors as well as registered investment advisors and securities broker-dealers. He has a thorough knowledge of accounting, auditing, tax and operational matters that are unique to these types of businesses. He also assists clients in the design and implementation of budgeting, forecasting and performance measurement systems.
Because of Charlie’s work with public companies and investment management industry clients, he maintains a thorough knowledge of PCAOB requirements and regularly attends update seminars sponsored by the SEC.
Because of Charlie’s work with employee benefit plans, he also regularly attends updates and seminars regarding EBSA, ERISA and DOL.
Charlie has specialized expertise utilizing computer-assisted audit techniques that increase audit efficiency and reduce the time and effort required by client personnel. He is proficient with interactive data extraction and analysis software and the application of related audit procedures.
He has spoken at numerous seminars dealing with the most recent accounting and auditing issues. He also is the partner-in-charge of our firm’s internal quality control program.
